White Knight
It's been ages since we last spoke, but I had to send you an update on White Knight. He is doing very well and is growing from strength to strength. He competed in his first dressage show a weekend ago at KEP and came fourth with a fantastic score of 71% for his prelim test 3!
I thought I would share the attached photos of White Knight with you. He competed in the Nissan Easter Festival in the prelim dressage and was placed 6th and 2nd (his second show)! A wonderful achievement.
Guinevere is also doing very well and finished last year in the 90cm's - she was placed in the top 5 at every show at Burlington she entered. She remains one of the most level-headed horses I have ever come across!
Bantry Bay (by Carrick out of First Bouquet xx)
News about Bantry Bay (by Carrick out of First Bouquet xx) from his proud owner Tessa Jansen Van Rensburg, she saw Bantry Bay as a foal and chose him to be her future showing/dressage superstar and he has not let her down - these are her words:
From the first day bants entered the ring he has been wowing judges and spectators.
He has that amazing show ring presence and steadfast temperament needed for a show horse.
In past 3 years he has won and been placed in every class entered. Having won autumn cup supreme gelding twice, reserve champ ridden welsh festival 2011, reserve gauteng north champ. Supreme Vaal in hand two years in row.
Maple ridge 2011 he won the champion horse in- hand and also novice champion ridden. Second year in row he has won in- hand.
First ever show he won all his ridden classes. As soon as photos have been received I will send to you. This month we do our first graded dressage show after winning and champ at training shows with over 65%.
At his first hoy Bants was third in very large class of 20 horses in riding class. This year he was third general breed gelding and 5th gb show hack after being off for 2 weeks because I had a fall.
I never knew that when I first saw him as a foal that he would be my next super star. I love him to bits and will definitely get another Saratoga.
