We offer a 3 month equine work experience program at our Warmblood Stud Farm in the Karkloof Valley in the Natal Midlands.
This is a great opportunity for you to experience working life on a horse stud to gain knowledge in horse training and management, to work in a beautiful environment with horses and of course to ride, ride, ride!
On completion you will be evaluated and issued with a Saratoga Stud Competency Certificate and Reference.
What to learn and do at Saratoga Stud:

Riding; schooling; ground work; working and backing young horses

Natural Horsemanship

Stud and Farm Management

In breeding season (teasing mares, foaling and foal handling)

Assisting in Veterinary Procedures

Treating injuries; ill horses

Natural Hoof Care

Dressage and Show jumping
