Saratoga Carrick

Carrick has become a very well known stallion in South African warmblood breeding providing fantastic sporthorses for all disciplines with his progeny winning many classes. Carrick throws his fantastic topline, adds bone and stockiness and most importantly his incredibly easy temperament. Saratoga stud now have over 20 mares by Carrick that we are keeping to breed with and we could not have asked for a better stallion with which to base our stud on. He is now the grand age of 22 but is still fit and sound and will hopefully carry on breeding for us for many more years.

Carrick is an imported warmblood stallion by the legendary sire Voltaire who is the result of crossing two outstanding bloodlines - Furiso 11 and Gothhard. Furiso 11 is considered the Oldenburg stallion of the 20th Century, one of his best known sons is For Pleasure. Gotthard is a legend in German sport horse breeding producing many top show jumpers.
